Job description

Account Executive; Construction & Infrastructure

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help drive revenue growth and empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within Aon Reed Stenhouse in Edmonton, AB. As an Account Executive, you will report directly to the Edmonton C&I Leader.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

What the day will look like

  1. Identify prospects through local market planning;
  2. Work with colleagues to execute on new business initiatives;
  3. Drive new business growth and help the C&I practice meet its revenue targets;
  4. Deliver continuous excellence in servicing an existing book;
  5. Identify specific client and prospect needs and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  6. Ensure all procedures, internal client files, and correspondence comply with Aon audit standards;
  7. Coordinate and oversee the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize activities and profitability in a value-based approach;
  8. Execute Aon’s 3x3 plan, cross-sell, and expand existing insurance programs with clients; develop and manage client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new opportunities;
  9. Develop new contacts and build relationships with prospects in targeted industry or segment groups;
  10. Act as the visible face of Aon in the community, prospect, and facilitate lead generation activities;
  11. Participate in industry events and committees to maximize engagement;
  12. Lead by example and promote best practices across all lines of business;
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  1. Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience, with a focus on sales and production;
  2. Experience in construction is a bonus;
  3. Provincial Insurance license required;
  4. CIP, FCIP, and CRM designations are preferable or in progress;
  5. Commitment to ongoing learning, including insurance courses, certifications, and designations.
