Job summary

Amgen in Alberta is seeking an Account Development Representative for General Medicine to call on key specialists, family physicians and allied health professionals to grow biosimilars such as Evenity in the territory.

You will develop territory business plans, achieve monthly sales objectives, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver branded messages and educational initiatives while providing outstanding service to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Based in Calgary or Edmonton.
  • Sales experience in Inflammation market is a significant asset.
  • Experience in Specialty & Primary Care selling environments is preferred.
  • Biosimilars experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Call on physicians and other Healthcare Professionals to grow Amgen's biosimilars in Alberta.
  • Achieve monthly sales objectives and maximize market share.
  • Develop territory business plans and create innovative programs.
  • Respond to customer needs and maintain high quality service with product knowledge and reimbursement support.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (MSL, Marketing Patient Access Navigator, Key Accounts).
  • Deliver branded sales messages and support education initiatives.
  • Handle logistics for Amgen sponsored rounds and continuing health education programs.
  • Perform territory analysis and call reporting in Amgen systems.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategies and field effectiveness.

Account Development Representative, General Medicine (Alberta)
What You Will Do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be calling on key specialists and accounts, as well as allied health professionals for Biosimilars, Evenity in Alberta.

Key Accountabilities / Duties / Responsibilities
  • Contacting physicians (both specialists and family practice) and other Healthcare Professionals (eg. Nurses, Pharmacists) to develop business and expand the clinical use of applicable Amgen product(s) in the territory.
  • Achievement of monthly sales objectives and maximum market share vs. competitive product(s)
  • Writing and implementing territory business plans and create/develop innovative programs and build competitive advantage for Amgen within key accounts.
  • Respond to customer needs and maintain a high quality of service via knowledge of the applicable therapeutic areas, appropriate management of patients, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and supporting fulfillment
  • Work closely with internal partners (MSL, Marketing Patient Access Navigator, Key Accounts)
  • Carry out marketing strategies, including delivering branded sales messages
  • Handle any logistics pertaining to Amgen sponsored rounds; implement in‑services and continuing health education initiatives (National/Regional Speaker Tours) with programs
  • Required administration including territory analysis and call reporting in Amgen system(s)
  • Providing feedback on marketing strategies and effectiveness in the field
  • Adhere to Amgen pharmacovigilance policies for reporting Adverse Events (AE) and Product Complaints (PC).

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Based in Sales Region (either Calgary or Edmonton area)
  • Sales experience in the Inflammation market a significant asset

  • Familiarity with customers in territory
