Job Description

AXA XL Risk Consulting (formerly AXA Matrix and GAPS) seeks a qualified Account Consultant to partner with the underwriting team in evaluating account risk quality and coordinating property loss prevention services to clients, supporting our growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate account risk quality using internal and external resources, and communicate findings clearly to underwriters.
• Manage the scope and scale of loss prevention services based on client needs, underwriting requirements, and cost constraints.
• Work directly with clients to improve their property risk profiles.
• Support sales and marketing by promoting our brand and maintaining industry relationships.
• Participate in process improvements and special projects to enhance the environment at AXA XL.
• Contribute to the development of team members through sharing expertise.

You will report to the Canada Regional Engineering Leader.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection risk engineering.
• Industry experience in property loss prevention or related consulting roles.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and FM data sheets.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of underwriting decision points and property insurance renewal processes.
• Familiarity with RMS modeling and IT systems.
• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent; professional designations like CFPS, ARM, or PE are preferred.
• Bi-lingual in English and French is a plus.
• Location: preferably in Greater Toronto Area or Montreal, QC.
