Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Accessibility Consultant to join a large banking client in Toronto on a 9-month contract. You will work with a team of 15 accessibility experts advising digital teams on WCAG standards throughout build cycles and fixes.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, design reviews, testing, and final copy reviews, with hybrid work in downtown Toronto—one day on-site per week and an additional day each month.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years experience with accessibility consulting according to WCAG 2.1 AA standards and several regulations (AODA, ACA, U.S. ADA, EN 301 549)
  • 3+ years experience testing UX designs in Figma and 3+ years with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Strong experience using assistive technology including NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover, and Talkback
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical accessibility terminology to stakeholders
  • Ability to advise on accessibility best practices to developers, designers, and testers. - Background in software development
  • Accessibility Certifications with a preference for WAS but not limited to CPACC, NVDA, 508 Trusted Tester, etc.
  • Ability to provide code solutions to code with bugs/issues

Insight Global is looking for an Accessibility Consultant to join a large banking client on an 9 month contract in Toronto. You will join a team of 15 accessibility experts supporting a group of digital teams to advise them on accessibility standards throughout the build cycle and/or fixes of existing issues. As the accessibility consultant, you will be responsible for providing requirements according to the latest standards, answer questions, conduct design reviews, testing, and final copy reviews. Experience assistive technology, WCAG, regulations, and testing is crucial to succeed in this role. Please note, this role is hybrid in the core downtown area once a week plus one extra day per month.
