The University of Manitoba, in partnership with Shared Health Manitoba and St. Boniface Hospital, invites applications for an Electrophysiologist in the Section of Cardiology.

This geographical full-time contingent role at Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank begins July 1, 2027 or as soon after as possible for 2 years, with renewal possible. Qualifications

• Candidates must have senior specialty qualifications in Adult Cardiology and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
• RCPSC certification in Adult Cardiology is preferred.
• Demonstrated interdisciplinary communication and teaching skills for undergraduate and postgraduate education.
• Prior training in Cardiac Electrophysiology is required.
• Additional proficiency in areas like cardiogenetics, advanced VT ablation, laser lead extraction, or pulsed-field ablation will be considered favourably.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert electrophysiology services within the Section of Cardiology.
• Lead arrhythmia care with device implantation and ablation procedures.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology consults and participate in clinical trials.
• Contribute to teaching and training of medical students and residents.
