Job summary

CHEO is seeking a Behaviour Therapist to deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis services to children and youth with neurodevelopmental or mental health needs. The role involves one-to-one and group work, data-driven treatment planning, and collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a three-year college diploma in Behaviour Science (essential) or related field, with 3+ years of ABA experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma in Behaviour Science or related field (essential)
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• Minimum three years’ experience delivering ABA-based treatment programs (essential)
• Five years’ experience in ABA (preferred)
• First Aid/CPR Certification (essential)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic records systems (essential)

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete Functional Behaviour Assessments for diverse behaviours.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate ABA-based treatment programs.
• Respond to situations with safe, ethical treatments across settings.
• Maintain formal documentation: reports, treatment data, plans and notes.
• Coordinate with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams.
