Job summary

The ROYAL OTTAWA HEALTH CARE GROUP seeks a Behavioural Analyst in Brockville, Ontario to perform behavioural assessments and develop treatment strategies with a multidisciplinary team. You will implement positive behaviour support plans, monitor progress with data, and train staff and community partners in behaviour modification.

Requirements include a post-graduate diploma/degree in Behaviour Analysis or related field, plus experience with developmental disabilities and mental health.

Qualifications

• Post graduate diploma or degree from a recognized college or university such as a diploma in Behaviour Analysis or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in developmental disabilities, mental illness and behavioural analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a professional multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Previous community setting experience is an asset.
• Experience in group/individual counselling and staff training is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of consultation model.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete behavioural assessments and plan treatment strategies with the team under supervision.
• Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans for referred clients.
• Monitor management of behaviour support plans and document progress with data.
• Coordinate and monitor service delivery and assist in training on behaviour modification for clients, staff and partners.
• Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Provide education to community partners about behaviour management and modification principles.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Ensure safety practices and anti-racism policies are followed.
