Job summary

Coquitlam School District invites applications for a 0.6 FTE temporary part-time Speech Language Pathologist. The district serves Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, and surrounding communities with a focus on inclusive education.

Responsibilities include direct and consultative support for speech and language difficulties, collaboration with school teams, and assisting with IEP design within a district-wide intervention framework.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
  • Must be registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
  • Provide consultative and direct support for speech, language, and communication difficulties.

  • Collaborate with school-based teams and Student Services staff.
  • Support diverse learners including ELL and Indigenous learners, and assist with IEPs.

Coquitlam School District invites applications from qualified candidates as a 0.6 FTE temporary part-time Speech Language Pathologist.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Must be registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Provide consultative and direct support to students for the prevention, identification, and treatment of speech, language, and communication difficulties. Communicate and work collaboratively with other professionals, including school-based teams and Student Services staff. Support students with both high and low incidence exceptionalities, English language learners (ELL), and Indigenous learners. Provide in-depth education assessment services. Provide information and consultation to school personnel regarding educational placement and programming. Assist with designing and evaluating individual education plans. Assist with the District Tiered Intervention framework
