Job summary

SyBridge Technologies is seeking experienced 5‑Axis Machinists to join our team at multiple Ontario locations. You will program, set up, and operate 5‑axis CNC centers, producing precision tooling and components for industry leaders.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years on 5‑axis machines, familiarity with Lemoine/PowerMill, and a strong eye for detail. Benefits begin Day One; overtime opportunities available and room for growth.

About the Role

As a 5‑Axis Machinist at SyBridge Technologies, you will play a key role in manufacturing high‑quality tooling and precision components for industry‑leading customers. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing 5‑axis CNC machining centers, producing complex parts while maintaining exceptional standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Set up and operate 5‑axis CNC machining centers
• Program and optimize toolpaths using Lemoine and/or PowerMill
• Read and interpret engineering CAD designs, red‑line dimensions, and GD&T requirements
• Perform machine setups, prove‑out new programs, and optimize machining processes
• Select appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for complex components
• Conduct in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Verify parts meet quality and dimensional requirements
• Deburr and clean finished components
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with engineering, programming, and production teams to meet customer deadlines

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3–5 years of experience operating and setting up 5‑axis CNC machining centers in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Experience programming using Lemoine and/or PowerMill (preferred)
• Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain‑controlled CNC machines is considered an asset
• Strong understanding of 5‑axis machining principles, tooling, machine setups, and workholding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret engineering CAD designs, and work to tight tolerances
• Experience inspecting precision components using a variety of measuring equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working around varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other manufacturing conditions
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as required
