Job summary

Merit Ontario seeks a 4th Year or above 306A Plumbing Apprentice to join our mechanical services team in Kitchener, ON. You will assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs and maintenance on new construction projects, including mid-rise buildings and hospitality developments.

This role reports to the VP of Mechanical Divisions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of plumbing experience, a strong ability to read blueprints, and a valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Licensed plumber or 4th year apprentice with Red Seal preferred.
• 3–5 years of plumbing experience, preferably on new construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ontario driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems on new construction projects.
• Read blueprints and follow schematics for mid-rise buildings, hotels and homes.
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure code-compliant work and safety.
• Inspect installations and help with testing and certifications.
• Mentor junior apprentices and maintain organized job sites.
