Job summary

FedEx Freight Canada is seeking an Administrative Settlement Clerk responsible for inputting settlement events into CDAS, reviewing settlement data, and handling clerical tasks within the settlement department. You will manually transfer information from service centers and vendors, validate CDAS against source data, and support Settlement Specialists with inquiries and adjustments.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in accounting/finance or related field, and strong Microsoft

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year in accounting/finance or related experience.
  • Experience in transportation industry preferred.
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

  • Input settlement events into the CDAS system and verify data.
  • Review settlement information in CDAS for accuracy.
  • Support Settlement Specialists with timely information findings.
  • Perform clerical duties to maintain files and records.
  • Assist with processing adjustments in CDAS as assigned.
  • Support and cover AP Admin Associates as needed.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for inputting settlement events into the CDAS system, reviewing settlement information in CDAS, and other administrative tasks within the settlement department

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manually transfer information provided by service centers and vendors into CDAS to ensure accurate payment
  • Verify/validate CDAS in comparison to source information to ensure accurate payments to Cartage and Contractors
  • Support the Settlement Specialists in researching inquiries providing them with the information findings in a timely manner
  • Perform clerical duties to ensure that files are maintained
  • Support Settlement Specialists with processing assigned adjustments in CDAS
  • Support and cover AP Admin Associates
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One (1) year accounting, finance, or related experience
  • Experience working in the Transportation Industry

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Ability/willingness to learn new applications, software, systems, and equipment as required
  • Ability to manage competing and changing priorities
  • Good verbal, reading and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred; required in Quebec
