Effectue des fonctions de navette à l’aide d’un véhicule non articulé.

  • Charge et décharge les véhicules et les conteneurs de l’entreprise.
  • Vérifie la taille et le poids des colis.
  • Trie les colis selon le type de service et la destination, conformément aux procédures établies.
  • Scanne les colis à l’aide d’équipement de suivi informatisé.
  • Veille à l’application des procédures de sécurité lors de la manipulation des colis.
  • Assure la protection adéquate des biens de Federal Express Canada et de ceux des clients, tels que les colis, l’équipement et les véhicules.
  • Nettoie, lave et effectue au besoin l’entretien mineur des véhicules.
  • Se conforme aux règlements établis par les autorités aéroportuaires locales.

Utilise les véhicules et l’équipement de façon sécuritaire et efficace, en respectant les règlements gouvernementaux et les procédures de l’entreprise.

Le ou les titulaires de ce poste peuvent être appelés à effectuer des cueillettes et livraisons sur une base d’urgence, sans excéder 10 % du temps.

Le ou les titulaires de ce poste doivent accomplir toute autre tâche connexe assignée.

Dans la province de Québec, le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est requis.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Performs shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle.

  • Loads and unloads company vehicles and containers.
  • Audits size and weight of packages.
  • Separates packages by service type and destination, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Scans packages using computerized tracking equipment.
  • Ensures the use of safety procedures in handling of packages.
  • Ensures proper security of Federal Express Canada and customer property such as packages, equipment and vehicles.
  • Cleans, washes and performs minor maintenance to vehicles as necessary.
  • Conforms to regulations established by local airport authorities.

Operates vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, complying with all government regulations and company procedures.

The incumbent(s) of this position may be expected to pick up and make deliveries on an emergency basis; not to exceed 10% of the time.

The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned.

In the province of Quebec must be bilingual (French and English).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High school diploma/educational equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training.
  • Must possess a valid, fully unrestricted Class 5/Class G license and have a good driving record.
  • Some knowledge of Fedex Express Canada operations and Canadian customs regulations an asset.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs or maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
