Job summary

Strike Group seeks an Apprentice Pipefitter to support field installation and maintenance of pipe systems at the Cenovus Christina Lake North plant, north of Conklin, AB. You will interpret drawings, assist journeymen, and work within a safety‑driven environment.

Eligibility requires registration as a 3rd year Apprentice and valid H2S Alive/CSTS 2020 or PST tickets; CSTS/CSO not accepted. Rotation is 8/6 with $300/shift travel allowance and provided camp accommodations.

Qualifications

Must be a registered 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s).
Assist journeyperson pipefitters with installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required shape.
Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.
