Job description

Our client is seeking a 3rd Year Millwright Apprentice to join their team at their electronic recycling facility in Mississauga, supporting the Maintenance team during night shifts.

Advantages

  • Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm-7am
  • 40 hours per week + overtime available
  • Pay: $35-$38/hr
  • Benefits and 2 weeks vacation

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with conveyors, rollers, discharge chutes, belts, and lacings
  • Perform welding and operate cutting torches as needed
  • Apply mechanical, fabrication, and process control knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment and systems
  • Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and process control
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior technicians
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Follow safety procedures and conduct repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Utilize tools and rigging equipment safely and effectively
  • Complete work orders accurately and promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

  • Ability to work overtime and assist with coverage for day or afternoon shifts
  • Operate forklift or scissor lift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • CWB certification for MIG welding and fabrication skills
