Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Western Canada is seeking 3rd and 4th Year Electrical Apprentices for a 14-day shutdown near Conklin, Alberta. You will assist Journeyman Electricians, interpret drawings and codes, and install motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit and panels while upholding safety and quality.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $40.21–$42.57 CAD with overtime at 1.5x, comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, a retirement savings plan with employer matching, and referral

Qualifications

  • Industrial electrical experience or equivalent.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Journeyman Electricians with installation of industrial electrical systems.
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes.
  • Install motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit, wiring, and panels.
  • Support three-phase systems and motor terminations.
  • Follow Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), company procedures, and OHS safety standards.
  • Other duties as required.

Role Summary:

We are seeking 3rd and 4th Year Electrical Apprentices for a 14-day shutdown near Conklin, Alberta.Additional work with PTW could be provided. Successful candidates will have industrial and/or commercial electrical experience and a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and meeting client expectations. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Journeyman Electricians with installation of industrial electrical systems
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes
  • Install motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit, wiring, and panels
  • Support three-phase systems and motor terminations
  • Follow Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), company procedures, and OHS safety standards
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $40.21 – $42.57 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
