Role Description

We are seeking a talented 3D Environment Artist for a contract role. This is a remote position with flexible working hours, offering the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a stylized, narrative-driven puzzle game.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, modeling, and implementing atmospheric 3D environments that align with the game’s psychological themes. You'll work closely with game designers and narrative leads to create spaces that not only look beautiful but actively support storytelling and puzzle mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and model stylized and realistic 3D environments using Maya, Blender, or similar tools

• Create modular assets and scene compositions that align with gameplay and narrative goals

• Collaborate with level designers to ensure environments support puzzles and exploration

• Implement assets in Unreal Engine and manage scene optimization and lighting

• Refine shaders, post-processing, and visual effects

• Contribute to moodboards and visual development from concept to final pass

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in 3D environment art for games

• Strong portfolio showcasing stylized, realistic, or emotionally resonant environments

• Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Blender, Maya, Substance, Unreal Engine)

• Experience working in-engine with real-time lighting, shaders, and LOD optimization

• Understanding of storytelling through environmental design and composition

• Comfortable working remotely in a collaborative pipeline

• Bonus: Familiarity with psychological horror or puzzle-driven titles
