Combined Metal Industries (CMI for short!) sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

Job Summary

CMI is looking for a new employee to join our Maintenance Team . In this role you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company trucks, trailers, cranes, skid steers and forklifts in order to assist in a safe and productive work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain company trucks / trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance and CVI inspections on trucks / trailers
• Perform scheduled repairs on trucks / trailers
• Ensure running repairs are performed on trucks / trailers as per pre / post inspections
• Repair forklifts, skid steers and cranes where possible
• Complete all required paperwork as per legislative requirements
• Maintain inventory of parts and order as required
• Support drivers and machine / equipment operators with technical knowledge

Qualifications

• 310 Truck and Coach Technician Certification
• Minimum 2- 3 years of previous experience
• Strong English communications skills (written and verbal)
• Self-motivated
• Ability to perform in all types of weather
• Ability to perform a physical demanding job
