Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. (GIP) is seeking a 310T Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet in the company’s maintenance shop in Greater Sudbury.

You will perform annual safety inspections, troubleshoot and overhaul heavy equipment, trucks, and engines, and conduct safety certification inspections. The role requires CAT/Kenworth experience as an asset, a valid driver's license, enrollment in the DriveOn portal, and the ability to work 10-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime when

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment is essential; CAT equipment and Kenworth trucks are assets.
• 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Must be enrolled or able to be enrolled into the DriveOn portal.
• Heavy equipment experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Solid understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Comfortable using a computer and online resources.
• Must have mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Physically fit and able to perform work.
• Must supply own tools.
• Shifts are 10 hours long, with weekend and overtime work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete Annual Safety Inspections for GIP’s over-the-road fleet.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty construction equipment in the shop.
• Work on equipment, trucks and small engines as required.
• Conduct safety certification inspections.
