Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Windsor, ON is seeking a fully licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician to join our solids team.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of 310T trucks and coaches and related equipment, five days a week with potential weekend work at management’s discretion. Responsibilities include repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems; using vehicle diagnostics; estimating costs; completing fleet software paperwork; and mentoring

Qualifications

• 310T Truck & Coach License or Registered Level 3 Apprentice.
• Valid G driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own tools required.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on 310T trucks and coaches.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Use vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs.
• Conduct service calls for emergency breakdowns and safety checks.
• Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software and document parts usage.

GFL Environmental – 310T Truck & Coach Technician (Reg) – Windsor, ON

A fully licensed technician to join our growing solids team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of 310T trucks and coaches and related equipment. Full‑time, five days a week (Monday‑Friday) with optional weekend work at management’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment
• Use vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs
• Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs
• Conduct service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Perform safety checks on all vehicles and equipment
• Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting part usage and accounting for repair times
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate/OHSA standards
• Work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Assist apprentices by providing guidance and support
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• 310T Truck and Coach License / Registered Level 3 Apprentice
• Valid “G” driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work
• Own tools required
• Welding experience considered an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
