Joseph Transportation Group in Mount Elgin, ON is seeking a 310T/310J Licensed Technician to join our fast‑paced maintenance team. This full‑time role involves diagnosing and repairing tractors and trailers, performing scheduled maintenance, and keeping accurate service records using our work order software.

Requirements include a valid 310T/310J license, at least one year of mechanical experience in the transportation sector, a valid G license, and knowledge of PACCAR, Cummins, or Detroit

Qualifications

• Valid 310T/310J license holder.
• Minimum one year of mechanic experience in transportation.
• Valid G driver's license; A or D is an asset.
• Experience with gas and diesel automotive repairs.
• Knowledge of PACCAR, Cummins, Detroit diagnostics is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair units brought into the shop.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in preparing preventative maintenance schedules.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Maintain detailed maintenance reports using work order software.
• Ensure shop tools are used and stored properly.
• Record parts used and notify Service Coordinator of stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other mechanical repair work as required.

As a 310T/310J License Technician at Joseph Transportation Group, your duties include but are not limited to:

• Diagnose and repair units brought into the shop.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs in order to ensure the safe continuing operations of tractors and trailers.
• Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation, through work order software
• Ensure all shop tools are used and stored properly
• Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order, and ensure the Service Coordinator is aware of stock taken.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other mechanical repair work as required

We are looking for a person that has the knowledge and skill set to complete the above duties, along with the following requirements:

• Valid 310T/310J License
• Minimum one year’s experience as a Mechanic in the transportation industry
• Possess valid G driver's license (A or D will be considered an asset)
• Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs
• Knowledge PACCAR, Cummins, Detroit and there related diagnostics is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to record information into our work order software
• Flexibility in hours and shifts is an asset not a necessity

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $40.00 per hour up to $45.00 per hour
