Job summary

Joseph Transportation Group is seeking a dedicated 310T/310J Technician to join our fast-paced, award-winning team in Hamilton, Ontario. You will diagnose and repair equipment, perform scheduled maintenance on tractors and trailers, and help with planning preventive maintenance, while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

Valid 310T/310J Technician License.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic in the transportation industry.
Valid G driver’s license (A or D is an asset).
Strong mechanical abilities in gas and diesel repair.
Knowledge of PACCAR, Cummins, Detroit, and related diagnostic systems (asset).
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced shop.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Flexibility with hours and shifts (asset).

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing equipment in the shop
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on tractors and trailers
Assisting with preventative and predictive maintenance planning
Testing repaired equipment to confirm proper performance
Performing lubrication, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks
Maintaining accurate records using our work order software
Ensuring proper use and storage of shop tools
Tracking parts used and communicating with the Service Coordinator
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Completing additional mechanical tasks as required

What You’ll Do

Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday - 10 hours shift - Plus shift premium
Weekend Shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 3 - 12 hours shifts (36 hours total paid for 40 hours)
