Job summary

Simcoe Spring Service in Simcoe, ON is seeking a Truck/Tractor/Trailer Suspension Technician with a 310T license to join our busy shop. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing suspension systems and related brake assemblies on heavy trucks, light trailers, buses, and more.

You will perform routine maintenance, complete repair orders, use diagnostic tools, and follow manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing trucks, coaches, or other heavy‑duty vehicles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment; follow safety regulations.
  • Completion of a Truck and Coach Technician apprenticeship or trade certification preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

Seeking: 1 Individual with a 310T License

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday; 8 am to 5 pm

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Truck/Tractor/Trailer Suspension Technician role located in Simcoe, ON. The Technician will inspect, diagnose, and repair suspension systems, light-duty trailer brakes, and related assemblies on heavy trucks, light-duty trailers, pick-up trucks, buses and more. Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance, completing repair orders, using diagnostic tools and equipment, and following manufacturer specifications and shop procedures. The role involves collaborating with the parts manager, ownership and other technicians, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality. The technician may assist with parts selection and inventory needs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing trucks, coaches, or other heavy-duty vehicles, including suspension and brake systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and manufacturer specifications
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of shop safety practices and willingness to follow all health and safety regulations
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented shop environment
  • Completion of a Truck and Coach Technician apprenticeship or relevant trade certification preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Valid driver’s license; commercial or air brake endorsement considered an asset
  • Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and participate in ongoing training
