Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking a Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician, or a 2nd/3rd year apprentice under a valid Training Agreement, to join our team at our Kitchener location. Pay up to CA$55.50 per hour based on experience.

The role involves performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks to ensure safety and reliability. If you have a passion for trucks and strong mechanical skills, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; related post-secondary training is an asset.
• 1-3 years of experience as licensed heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent.
• Licensed 310T Technician or 2nd/3rd year apprentice with valid Training Agreement and 2-3 years experience.
• Valid G class driver’s license with clean record; Z endorsement an asset.
• Must have necessary hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Use service manuals and data to repair and maintain vehicles.
• Explain work needed to customers and communicate clearly.

310T Truck and Coach Technician/Apprentice- Kitchener

Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician, or 2nd +-3rd year apprentice under a valid Registered 310T Training Agreement with Skills Trade Ontario or equivalent to join our team at our Kitchener location. (48 Ardelt Avenue, Kitchener)

Pay: Up to CA$55.50 per hour based on experience

Job Summary

As a 310T Truck and Coach Technician, or apprentice under a training agreement and supervision, you will be performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
• Use manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
• Communicate with customers to explain work needed
• Work efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines and minimize downtime
• Attend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by management
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce waste
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. motive power/auto technology) an asset
• 1-3 years of experience as a licensed heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the industry
• Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician, or a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice working under a valid Registered Training Agreement with Skills Ontario Trades of equivalent and 2-3 years of experience.
• Valid G class driver’s license with a good driving record. Z Endorsement an asset.
• Must have necessary hand tools.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a range of medium and heavy trucks
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software
• Experience with fleet management software (e.g. Fleet Complete)
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
