We currently have opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technicians and 310T/421A Registered Apprentices at our Ontario locations:

Locations:

• Thunder Bay East & West Division locations: Ignace, Sioux Lookout, Atikokan

Position Details:

Are you a registered 310T Technician? Do you enjoy the challenges of a fast-paced, ever-changing environment? This position is responsible for conducting annual safety inspections, performing repairs, and following our preventative maintenance program on our fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment. Duties are assigned by the Lead-Hand/Mechanical Superintendent.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T)
• Registered for DriveOn portal
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
• Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs
• Knowledge and experience in engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and repair
• Knowledge and experience in heavy truck hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering
• Knowledge and experience on Bosch Rexroth salt management system
• Knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding (considered an asset)
• Good knowledge of trade-related worksite safety
• Experience with industry-related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, graders, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
• Capable of working overtime as required
• Capable of performing call-outs to attend vehicle breakdowns

Conditions of Employment:

Satisfactory drug pre-screening and Driver’s Abstract are required.
