Kal Tire in Ottawa, ON is hiring a 310S Automotive Service Technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on a variety of vehicles and mentor apprentices in a learning-focused environment.

Newly certified technicians start at a base rate of $37.33/hour with potential for higher earnings based on experience. A $5,000 recruitment and retention bonus is offered for this fully licensed position.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid 310S Automotive Service Technician license.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs across a wide range of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
