We’re Sarnia Truck Centre, and we’ve been operating for 29 years. We’re a small, family-run business, authorized by Volvo Trucks for repair, diagnostics, and warranty. We pride ourselves on our fast and friendly service, and our ability to handle repairs on any make of vehicle. From truck repairs to shuttle services to emergency road services, we get people where they need to go. We’re here to help, and our customers appreciate our helpful and courteous service.

Although we offer many services, a large part of what we do is repairing trucks and trailers – that’s where you come in as our new 310S Automotive Mechanic.

310S Automotive Mechanic

We are currently looking for an Automotive Mechanic who has worked on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Whether you’re an apprentice or journeyman, we want someone who is committed to continuous learning, and who is passionate about being an early adopter of new trends, procedures, and technology. You are highly reliable and honest, and are always taking the initiative to learn, develop, and grow. You are comfortable with multi-tasking, and work well under pressure to meet multiple demands, and you have great communication and teamwork skills.

Practically speaking, here’s what you’ll do :
  1. Diagnose, trouble-shoot, and perform service and repairs on trucks and trailers.
  2. Change or replace truck and trailer parts as needed.
  3. Provide direction and assistance to other technicians or apprentices.
  4. Promote a clean and safe work environment.
The Details :

This is a full-time, permanent position working out of our Sarnia shop, at Churchill and McGregor Side Rd. You’ll be paid $35 per hour, commensurate with experience, and you’ll have health benefits, group retirement savings plans, and standard vacation time. You’ll work Monday-Friday on either of our 2 shifts, morning or afternoon (until 8 pm).

Qualifications
  • 310S Automotive certification.
  • Experience working with fleets of pickup trucks and medium-duty trucks (asset).
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing Ford and Chevrolet products (asset).
  • Experience maintaining hydraulic cranes and high rails.
  • Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license.

We’re looking for our next licensed 310S Mechanic, however, we are also open to apprentices with some experience. Whether you have several years of experience or are just starting out, we’d love for you to join our team.
