Sid Grabell Contracting in the Niagara Region is seeking a licensed 309A Electrician to join our team for industrial and commercial electrical work. You will service and install electrical systems, maintain switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PLCs, and ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Code.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of post-licence experience, a valid 309A licence, a clean driving record, and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid 309A Electrical Licence required.
• Minimum 2+ years of post-licence experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
• Self-starter with good organization and communication.
• Clean driver’s abstract and valid licence.
• Own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service existing electrical systems including main switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and industrial machinery.
• Install power distribution systems including breaker panels, transformers, generators, MCCs, conduit, lighting, main services, PLCs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
• Collaborate with supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.
• Follow Ministry of Labour safety policies and documentation requirements.

About the Role

Sid Grabell Contracting (SGC) is a well-established industrial and commercial electrical contractor in the Niagara Region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a licensed 309A Electrician to join our team.

We’re looking for a licensed 309A Electrician who is motivated, safety-conscious, and ready to work on industrial and commercial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and service existing electrical systems, including main switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and industrial machinery
• Install power distribution systems including breaker panels, transformers, generators, motor control centres (MCCs), conduit, lighting systems, main services, PLCs, and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues efficiently and safely
• Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and Ontario Electrical Safety Code
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule and within budget
• Follow all Ministry of Labour and company safety policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
• Ministry of Labour safety standards, procedures, and required documentation
