Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician, Emergency (RVT) to join our 24/7 emergency team in Mississauga, Ontario. This role provides hands-on ER and critical care experience within a collaborative hospital environment and allows development of advanced skills in emergency medicine.

Three 12-hour shifts per week, overnight differential, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus accompany a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing professional development to support your growth

Qualifications

• RV T required; CVT/LVT equivalents considered.
• Emergency or critical care experience preferred, but strong GP technicians welcome.
• Strong anesthesia and patient care skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and emergency patient assessment.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and delivering nursing care.
• Patient vitals and ongoing treatment monitoring.
• Anesthesia support, surgical prep, and recovery.
• Diagnostic imaging including radiographs.

Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician, Emergency - RVT to join our growing emergency team in Mississauga, Ontario. This is an opportunity for a Veterinary Technician to build advanced ER and Critical Care skills while working alongside a highly skilled, collaborative team in a 24/7 emergency and referral hospital. Whether you’re an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician who thrives in emergency medicine or you’re coming from general practice and ready for more complexity, you’ll have the opportunity to manage a wide variety of emergency cases, expand your technical skills, and practice at the top of your license

Compensation

• $28–$35/hour based on experience and skillset
• $2/hour overnight differential (8:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Schedule

• Every other weekend required
