Job summary

Point Grey Plumbing & Heating is seeking an Apprentice Service Plumber to join a fast-paced team. You will perform installations, repairs and maintenance for residential and commercial customers, including boiler work, while providing clear explanations and maintaining detailed customer histories.

If you are pursuing your Red Seal in Plumbing, have a year of service plumbing experience, hold a Class 5 license, and can lift 50 lbs, this role offers growth with a supportive team and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active pursuit of Red Seal Certificate in Plumbing.
• At least 1 year of service plumbing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Class 5 Driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance in service plumbing and heating for residential and commercial customers.
• Install and maintain boilers for residential and commercial applications.
• Explain work to customers clearly and keep detailed service histories.
• Document service activities accurately and maintain equipment readiness.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance in all aspects of service plumbing and heating, including pipe repairs, fixture replacement, and system upkeep for residential and commercial customers.
• Install and maintain boilers for both residential and commercial applications.
• Provide clear explanations to customers regarding work to be done.
• Accurately document service and installation activities while maintaining detailed customer histories.
• Ensure company equipment is operational by following maintenance protocols, troubleshooting issues, and arranging repairs as needed.
• Keep tools and supplies well-stocked and in optimal condition.
• Stay current in the industry by participating in training opportunities and supplier/factory education sessions.
• Identify and capitalize on potential business opportunities.
• Be available for regular shifts and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications:

• You are actively pursuing your Red Seal Certificate in Plumbing
• You have at least one year of experience of service in plumbing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• You have a Class 5 Driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Backflow/Cross Connection Ticket is considered an asset
• Housecall Pro experience is considered an asset
