Responsibilities

What you will be doing…

The project coordinator will report to the Senior Manager Entrepreneurship and will be responsible for project coordination of activities, events, and programming in entrepreneurship across NSCC, with particular focus on The Dartmouth Makerspace. This position will support the growth and development of the NSCC provincial makerspace strategy, resource support, program coordination, and other entrepreneurial programming for makerspace development for staff and students. This role focuses on program development that will propel students into the entrepreneurial ecosystem from a local, national, and international perspective, through the delivery of extracurricular, co-curricular, and curricular programming.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a two-year post-secondary diploma in a related discipline.
  • A diploma in Business Administration or related field in entrepreneurship or applied research would be preferred.
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant occupational experience supporting entrepreneurs through business advisories, community partner navigation, resource access, and workshop delivery.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, email, virtual meeting platforms, and social media tools.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment and committed to leveraging technology to enhance the student experience.
  • Experience in training, facilitation, and adult learning principles is an asset.
  • You have supported or provided services to staff, students, and prospective students.
  • Experience working in a makerspace environment is preferred.
