General Description

• Performs duties related to planning, estimating, scheduling, and field coordination activities for construction projects.

Advantages

Resource expected to work 4 days in Prince George's office and 1 day from home. Some overnight travel may be required, project-dependent. Own vehicle required.

Location : Prince George

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed cost estimates considering engineering specifications and contract conditions; researches, analyzes, and recommends methods to minimize labor, equipment, costs, and scheduling impacts; revises estimates and schedules accordingly.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs and cost calculations for materials and components, assessing risks and estimating work prices.
• Applies established markups to ensure full overhead recovery.
• Prepares work schedules, coordinates project activities, may design drawings, perform site surveys, operate electrical testing equipment, and maintain project progress data. Advises managers on discrepancies or changes.

Qualifications

Must haves:

• Diploma of Technology or Degree in a construction-related field or related trades qualification.
• Five (5) years of construction and/or project management experience (field or office).

Nice to haves:

• Experience supporting construction crews.

Work environment involves both office and fieldwork, with exposure to weather and construction hazards.

Summary
