Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil invites motivated students for an industrial hygiene internship from January 5 to April 23, 2027. You will perform qualitative risk analyses, prepare PPE sheets, and collaborate with health, safety, environment teams on projects.

You must be enrolled in a Canadian university or CEGEP and pursuing industrial hygiene or related studies; on-site; bilingual English/French is advantageous.

As a member of the industrial hygiene team, you will have to complete qualitative industrial hygiene assessments, revise and develop personal protective equipment sheets and participate in contaminant sampling (e.g. electromagnetic fields, noise, dust, solvents, etc.). You will have to collaborate with the health & safety team, the environment team, the ergonomics team and the wastewater treatment department on certain projects. You will also have to participate in the organization of a health, safety and industrial hygiene awareness day. What will your day-to-day look like?

Factory intervention to carry out risk analyzes in industrial hygiene and in ergonomics and to sample various physical and chemical contaminants. Carry out audits (e.g. respiratory protection program); Support the health and safety team in connection with the industrial hygiene program.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university or CEGEP throughout your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
• In the process of obtaining industrial hygiene diploma or any other college or university study relating to the Environment or health and safety.
• Sens of initiative, autonomy and problem-solving person.
• Great sense of observation.
