Job summary

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the organization’s QMS development and ISO 9001 alignment. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency and ensuring compliance across departments.

The incumbent will coordinate quality planning, audits, and documentation, and report performance to the CEO. This contract position spans 18 months, with a 35-hour workweek and a competitive hourly rate in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Quality Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in quality management, operational coordination, process improvement, compliance, or a related role.
• Experience with quality management systems; ISO 9001 knowledge or experience is a strong asset.

• Develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Coordinate quality planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities across departments to improve operational effectiveness and quality control.
• Conduct internal reviews, audits, and assessments to evaluate compliance, effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain quality documentation, including policies, procedures, process maps, and work instructions.
• Support management review processes by preparing quality performance and compliance reports for the CEO.

POSITION SCOPE:

The Quality Manager supports Atikameksheng Anishnawbek operations, excellence in program and service delivery, Debendaagziwaad satisfaction and operational efficiency and improvement through the development, implementation, monitoring, assessment and improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Policy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Quality Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in quality management, operational coordination, process improvement, compliance, or a related role.
• Experience working with quality management systems; ISO 9001 knowledge or experience is a strong asset.
