Job summary

Maarut seeks a senior Data Architect to design and implement data architectures for complex distributed environments. You will review data models for MECP applications, analyze data needs, and develop logical data model specifications for target systems.

Collaboration with business teams and developers will be essential to deliver high-quality data artefacts. You will lead data modeling efforts, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and leverage strong SQL/RDBMS skills to validate data

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience reviewing and analyzing business needs and requirements for existing IT applications and related data and designing target data models.
• Strong experience in research, data analysis and development of effective IT data model designs.
• Ability to engage with IT architects and multi-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstratedexperience reviewing and analyzing business needs and requirements forexisting IT applications and related data and designing target data models.
  
• Strongexperience in research, data analysis and development of effective IT datamodel designs.
  
• Workwith related IT initiatives as required to align with the enterprise datamodeling standards and requirements.
  
• Expertanalytical skills and experience to analyze and understand source datamodels and data including developing data mappings for source and targetsystems.
  
• ExcellentRDBMS knowledge including SQL skills for carrying out deep analysis and/orto confirm/validate data.
  
• Ableto work and effectively engage with a multi-functional (e.g. BusinessAnalysts, SME, Developers, Architects etc.) team to ensure IT deliverablesproduced are of high quality.
  
• Ableto understand the problem domain and target IT/business requirements andcommunicate data modeling outputs as required.
  
• Quicklearner with ability to adapt and work independently with little or nosupervision.
  
• Ableto carry out research from a variety of sources to ensure alignment withcurrent IT trends and best practices.
  
• Expertskills and experience with the use of data modeling tools.
  
• Abilityto engage and provide information sharing support to IT architects(Business, Information, Solution, and Technology) as may be required.
  
• Ensuresintegration with related corporate and client cluster policies andstandards, and incorporation of best practices in the industry.
  
• Knowledgeand experience in creating, developing and managing logical and physicaldata models.
  

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experiencewith similar MECP applications covering environmental (inspections,compliance, enforcement) systems, and hazardous waste management systems
  
• Experiencewith Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools
  
• Experiencewith use of Python in aiding data processing activities.
  
• Knowledgeand understanding of Information Management principles, concepts,policies, and practices.
  
• Knowledgeof Parquet, Delta-Lake data formats.
