Qualifications

  • The ministry seeks accountable, collaborative, adaptable and client-focused individuals who can build effective relationships with clients, families, community partners and colleagues.
  • Candidates should understand First Nations and Mtis cultures, poverty, systemic barriers and socio-economic issues affecting individuals and families.
  • Knowledge of human services policies, practices and procedures typically gained through a diploma or degree and/or relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, digital and decision-making skills are required.
  • Applicants must be eligible to operate a vehicle, travel across rural and urban communities, work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays, and be able to lift and carry small children up to ~20 kg.
