Job summary

Superior-Greenstone District School Board is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to support the Kindergarten program. The successful candidate will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for 4- and 5-year-olds, in collaboration with the Kindergarten Program Teacher.

The role requires a 2-year ECE diploma, CECE registration in good standing, and a minimum of two years' experience, with current First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma required.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in good standing.
• Minimum of two years' experience.
• Recent experience with kindergarten-aged children preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for 4- and 5-year-olds in the Kindergarten program.
• Observe, monitor and assess the development of the children with the Kindergarten Teacher.
• Promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Kindergarten Program Teacher, the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that reflect the understanding of the continuum of development for 4 and 5 year olds, for the Kindergarten Program. Together with the Kindergarten Teacher, the ECE will observe, monitor and assess the development of the children. The successful candidate, along with the Kindergarten Teacher, will promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment.
