Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation in Cornwall, Ontario is seeking an Apprentice for our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot machine breakdowns, implement root-cause repairs, and perform preventative maintenance on high‑speed equipment, while following SQF/HACCP and food safety guidelines.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work on pneumatics and hydraulics, support machinery modifications, and participate in general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

POSITION

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Apprentice for our Cornwall facility.

SCOPE OF POSITION

The Apprentice reports to the Production Supervisor. Duties include trouble-shooting machine breakdowns, implementing root cause repairs, preventative maintenance and machinery modifications. Apprentice work on high-speed machinery, pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as perform general building maintenance. Given the food industry, must follow/support Food Safety and Quality Guidelines.
