Niagara Health in Port Colborne is seeking two Registered Practical Nurses (CPT) for casual part-time coverage in the Urgent Care Centre. You will provide patient-centered care, perform full scope nursing duties and support a multi-site operation with flexible shifts including days, afternoons, nights and weekends.
Responsibilities include medication administration, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy initiation and accurate documentation.
Working to promote nursing excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the Registered Practical Nurse will provide care through the therapeutic application of skills, knowledge, abilities and nursing standards, while collaborating with other healthcare team members. The incumbent must be able to perform to the full extent of their scope of practice. The objective of the Registered Practical Nurse is to provide safe and competent care through the application of nursing knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. Must be willing to work at two or more sites.
