Job summary
A leading digital engineering solutions company is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain APIs and backend services while working with cloud environments. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, especially in Java and API management. Responsibilities include implementing secure API architectures, collaborating in Agile teams, and contributing to API documentation. This position allows for remote work from Brazil and provides opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall professional experience.
- Strong understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
- Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to API governance efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Apigee (preferred), KrakenD, or AWS API Gateway.
- Implement scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
- Develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript / TypeScript with React or Angular.
- Work with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Utilize CI / CD pipelines (ADO Pipelines), GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage code, build processes, and deployments.
- Write robust unit, integration, and automated tests using tools such as Cucumber and Mockito.
- Contribute to cross‑organization API standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Agile / Scrum teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
