A leading automotive company in São Paulo, Brazil, is seeking a Product Development Specialist responsible for developing and managing automotive components. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering and extensive experience in the automotive sector. Key responsibilities include researching local technology, managing component localization, and supporting manufacturing improvements. The role requires fluency in English and proficiency with 3D Catia software. This position may involve national and international travel.
Job Mission
Responsible for development and management of Interior and Exterior automotive components, leading the interface with local suppliers for components localization process, cost reductions and products improvements for Brazilian markets.
Main Responsibilities
Research and development of components and local technology improving vehicle local content.
Implement localization and management of Interior and Exterior components, according to product planning; improve and implement design changes based on market requirements;
Tests and products validations, supplier's process and supplier's Engineering audits, development management.
Support the headquarters with data and benchmarking research about the market and environmental characteristics;
Cooperate with manufacturing Process and Quality team to investigate and improve manufacturing issues.
Cooperate with aftersales team to investigate issues and improve customer satisfaction in the market.
