SGS, the world's leading Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) company, seeks experienced Welding & Coating/Painting Inspectors to support quality assurance, fabrication, construction, maintenance, and corrosion protection across pipelines, pressure equipment, structural steel, and industrial projects in Venezuela.

Ideal candidates have 5–15 years of welding inspection and coating experience, with CSWIP/AWS/NACE-type certifications, and a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in mechanical or metallurgical

Qualificações

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related Engineering.
5–15 years of relevant experience.
CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or equivalent certifications preferred.
Experience in oil & gas, refinery, EPC, TIC projects preferred.

Responsabilidades

Perform welding inspection activities for pipelines, pressure equipment, structural steel, and fabrication works.
Review and verify WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, and welding procedures.
Monitor fit-up, welding, fabrication, and assembly activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
Conduct visual inspection of welds and coordinate NDT activities as required.
Perform inspection of surface preparation, coating, painting, and corrosion protection systems.
Monitor blasting, cleaning, environmental conditions, and coating application processes.
Verify coating quality through dry film thickness (DFT), adhesion, holiday testing, and surface profile measurements.
Inspect coating and painting activities for pipelines, storage tanks, structural steel, and corrosion protection projects.
Review quality documentation, inspection reports, and test records.
Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain inspection records.
