Warehouse Sanitation Worker (1st & 3rd shift)

Southeast Unloading is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness in all areas of our warehouse, including interior and exterior docks, restrooms, break areas, and office spaces.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain cleanliness of floors using brooms, mops, shop vacuums, and floor scrubbers to remove dust, debris, spills, and trash.
• Operate power jacks to move products and pallets for deep cleaning of rack floors.
• Follow sanitation checklists and work orders for regular cleaning and maintenance of washrooms, offices, and other areas.
• Use cleaning tools such as sponges, rags, squeegees, and towels to complete cleaning tasks.
• Adhere to Material Safety Data Sheets for the proper use and storage of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• Apply knowledge of chemical and cleaning products to ensure safe handling, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Perform pre-work inspections of all tools, materials, and equipment.
• Empty waste and recycling bins, and consolidate materials for removal or bundling.
• Load recyclable materials into the baler for compaction.
• Empty trash dumpsters into the hopper for waste removal.
• Identify areas requiring maintenance or cleaning based on visual inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills in English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Courteous and tactful interaction with managers, co-workers, customers, and vendors to promote positive morale and productivity.
• Remain organized, focused, and efficient with time management.
• Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, active environment.
• Stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and push/pull repeatedly during shifts.
