The role emphasizes storytelling, editing craft, and staying current with platform requirements, with compensation based on experience and a temporary-to-full-time contract potential.

Qualificações

• Strong storytelling and editing skills with a portfolio or reel.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software; Premiere Pro used in-house.

Outdoor Norway, situated in the heart of Voss – recognized as Norway's Adventure Capital, seeks a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to become part of our remote team. The ideal applicant possesses strong storytelling abilities, is highly skilled in editing software, and can transform raw footage into polished, engaging content. You will collaborate with producers, marketers, and content creators to produce high-quality videos that meet brand and campaign goals. Location : Remote

Contract timespan : Temporary position with possibility of becoming full time

Compensation : Based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Understands the company's Vision & Mission
• Edit raw video footage into compelling content for YouTube, social media, websites, advertisements, or internal use.
• Cut, trim, color-correct, and enhance video/audio for clarity and style.
• Add graphics, text overlays, animations, sound effects, and music as needed.
• Collaborate with creative teams, producers, and clients to understand project goals.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Ensure consistency in visual style, tone, and branding.
• Optimise video formats for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) for newsletters and blogs.
• Stay current with video trends, editing techniques, and platform requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a video editor with a portfolio/reel showcasing past work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools. We use Adobe Premiere in the company.
• Basic motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects or similar) are a plus.
• Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Access to a reliable computer setup and high-speed internet.
