FIFA seeks a Venue Safety & Security Manager for 8 host cities in Brazil to lead safety operations and coordinate with local authorities for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. You will oversee private security suppliers, manage deployment plans, and ensure compliance with security protocols across designated venues.

The role requires extensive experience in major events, strong leadership, and the ability to travel nationally.

Qualificações

• Higher education in security management, public safety, risk management or a related field
• Relevant professional qualifications or licensing required by local or state legislation
• Strong experience managing safety and security operations in major events
• High level of spoken and written English
• Portuguese language proficiency

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver safety and security operations across all designated non-competition sites within the assigned host city (venue) or cluster
• Ensure implementation of the Safety & Security Strategy, Operational Plan, site operating plans and all relevant tournament planning documents as relevant to each venue and site
• Conduct just-in-time planning activities including deployment planning, supplier site induction, readiness planning, training and briefings
• Develop, review and update dot plans, deployment plans, rosters and standing instructions for private security suppliers
• Review and update site-specific risk assessments and ensure mitigation measures are implemented
• Manage operational delivery through appointed private security supplier(s) and other allocated workforce groups
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local government authorities, police, law enforcement agencies and other public security partners
• Act as the principal liaison for public security authorities in the host city for non-competition sites
• Coordinate secure team and referee movements between official sites and stadiums in collaboration with public security partners
• Liaise and cooperate with site authorities, hotel management, training site operators and transport stakeholders
• Liaise and cooperate with FIFA Safety & Security Officers (FSSOs), Team Security and Referee Security Liaison Officers (TSLOs/RSLOs) deployed in the host city
• Attend and contribute to planning meetings, joint exercises and inter-agency coordination sessions
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with planning, overlay requirements and security standards
• Escalate safety and security issues to the Manager, Non-Competition Sites and ensure appropriate follow-up and corrective action
• Ensure all safety and security staff under supervision are fully briefed on site-specific procedures and tournament regulations
• Provide daily reporting to tournament HQ during operational periods
• Attend debriefs and submit written reports and operational assessments as directed
• Manage time flexibly and ensure attendance at official site activities involving teams, including travel to off-city base camps as required
• Attend planning meetings, training sessions, exercises and debriefs as directed

THE POSITION

YOUR PROFILE

Education

• Higher education in security management, public safety, risk management or a related field
• Relevant professional qualifications or licensing required by local or state legislation

Experience

• Strong experience managing safety and security operations in major events, public security or comparable environments
• Strong background in law enforcement, public security authority or senior private security leadership
• Demonstrated experience liaising with public authorities and multi-agency partners
• Experience managing operational security delivery across multiple sites
• Experience managing staffing budgets and supplier performance
• High level of spoken and written English
