Position Description

This is an interesting opportunity for an application engineer to develop business Java applications. The successful candidate will work as a part of a collaborative development team to deliver solutions on-time, based on technical and business specifications provided by Business Analysts and Architects. This role includes rapidly prototyping solutions for complex business functionality and contributing to the organization’s development standards and source code control. It is a fully remote opportunity, with a competitive pay rate and autonomy over the work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Java/XML classes based on business specifications.
• Collaborate with team leads, architects, and software engineers to develop and deliver applications.
• Participate in rapid prototyping initiatives to solve complex business challenges.
• Maintain compliance with organizational standards and contribute to their enhancement.
• Use modern development tools and frameworks effectively.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of programming experience, including server-side Java and message-based architectures (XML, Rendezvous).
• Advanced familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OO), BPA, and Dependency Injection.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with relational databases.
• Proficiency with modern IDEs for Java development.
• Experience developing containerized applications and pods.
• Familiarity with GIT version control tools.
• Disciplined, analytical, and able to understand complex business domains.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
