Site Facing Line Manager (SFLM) Role Description

The Site Facing Line Manager (SFLM) supports clinical study execution by assisting clinical research staff dedicated to specific studies at research sites, aiming to accelerate study deliverables. The role focuses on ensuring quality service delivery and overall performance of site workers throughout the study lifecycle.

This is a home-based position.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the PSCS and project delivery teams to support study task execution at research sites.
  2. Engage with workers and internal teams to ensure high-quality and impactful task delivery.
  3. Ensure administrative requirements like timecoding and timesheet completion are met.
  4. Enable site workers to perform required tasks by ensuring technical access to necessary systems, ordering supplies, and coordinating communications.
  5. Monitor and communicate the quality and impact of services, and provide operational recommendations based on performance data.
  6. Conduct regular performance management activities including one-on-ones.
  7. Document tasks and activities in departmental systems.
  8. Participate in candidate selection and administrative processes related to site staffing.
  9. Manage effort forecasting for assigned sites.
  10. Serve as an escalation point for site worker challenges.
  11. Contribute to process development and improvement initiatives.
  12. Mentor SES colleagues as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in clinical trials.
  • Knowledge of patient recruitment practices and site-based workflows.
  • Ability to apply ICH/GCP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Language requirements vary by location:
    • Argentina: Native Spanish, advanced English and Portuguese.
    • Brazil: Native Portuguese, advanced Spanish and English.
  • Previous people management experience preferred.
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build relationships and use a consultative approach.
  • Experience in interviewing and candidate selection is a plus.
