Job Summary:

The Manager, Treasury Operations in Brazil will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s financial resources. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in treasury management, international finance, cash flow optimization, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a public manufacturing company and a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

• Daily cash balance reporting by bank and account.
• Build and maintain a cash flow forecasting model.
• Optimize the company’s cash position through effective working capital management.

Banking Relationships:

• Maintain and enhance relationships with Brazil banking partners.
• Negotiate banking fees and service agreements.
• Maximize interest income and minimize interest expense.
• Close bank accounts and bank relationships to simplify banking structure.
• Cleanup bank portal user access and provide access and correct entitlements to the Array Treasury Team.
• Update bank account signatory agreements as needed.

Debt Management:

• Oversee the company’s debt portfolio, including issuance and repayment.
• Develop strategies for managing interest rate and foreign exchange risk.
• Ensure compliance with debt agreements and reporting requirements.

Investment Management:

• Develop and implement investment strategies for excess cash.
• Monitor and report on investment performance.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s investment policy.
• Identify and manage financial risks, including currency and interest rate exposure.
• Implement and monitor hedging strategies.
• Management and reporting improvements for bank guarantees (maintenance and performance bonds).

Treasury Operations:

• Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash/debt/investment/risk management and banking relationships.
• Work with Array Global Treasury Team to create synergies between both companies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and policies.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and present treasury reports to senior management and the board of directors.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and report on key treasury/accounting metrics and performance indicators.

Other:

• Create efficiencies with payments between Accounts Payable & Treasury to eliminate urgent requests and work towards a weekly payment file.
• Oversee cash collections and implement policies to expedite the collection of bad debt.
• Create synergies between Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, & Treasury that will facilitate efficiencies in the cash flow forecast.
• Create and implement a plan for process improvement utilizing automation options.
• Direct or indirect supervisor for at least one analyst.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA and CTP preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management, preferably in a public manufacturing company.
• Fluent in both Portuguese and English.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a management/supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of global financial markets and instruments.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
