DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a motivated candidate to develop innovative solutions and manage our transportation network, which involves third-party (3P) carriers. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing, analyzing, and improving performance metrics;
2. Receiving sales forecasts and transportation projects to understand adjustments needed in the first mile chain;
3. Supporting 3P operations daily, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing business improvements;
4. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to understand process or technology dependencies critical to program success;
5. Continuously seeking process improvements and resolving bottlenecks;
6. Maintaining and updating relevant process documentation and ensuring compliance;
7. Communicating with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal teams;
8. Generating and analyzing reports;
9. Collaborating with 3P to resolve operational issues;
10. Defining network support parameters such as Transit Times, Rate Cards, Operational Costs, and Performance;
11. Supporting team documentation to clarify transportation flows;
12. Leading or supporting expansion projects related to speed and process improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.;
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment processes, and timelines;
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing);
• Experience in program or project management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear, detailed requirement documents;
• Advanced data analysis skills to extract and synthesize data for business decisions;
• Experience in Python programming.
