Description

ATS (Amazon Transportation Services) is seeking a Transportation Expansion Senior Manager to develop a world-class logistics process that ensures timely delivery of goods at optimal costs. The team focuses on managing freight execution across transportation networks, emphasizing carrier management, development, quality, and performance.

This role requires an ambitious individual who will represent a critical function within Amazon Transportation Operations. The goal is to continuously improve service levels, capacity, and costs of the Amazon Brazil Transportation Line Haul, ensuring customer promises are fulfilled consistently.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the expansion of surface middle mile operations, including operational design, carrier pool management, technology deployment, and strategic growth to enhance customer experience, safety, and sustainability in Brazil;
• Develop and monitor performance metrics for each program, ensuring accountability;
• Extract and analyze data from various databases (Excel, Access, SQL, etc.), create reports, and track metrics to identify and eliminate defects;
• Communicate strategically with external (Carriers) and internal stakeholders (Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Amazon Logistics) to support sustainable growth of middle mile operations;
• Escalate issues or data variances promptly and follow through on resolutions;
• Use expertise to select stakeholders, set goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions for transportation network operations;
• Participate in strategic projects, analyzing forecast vs. capacity needs, developing capacity with carriers, and supporting business growth with technology roadmaps;
• Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to optimize network design for cost efficiency and customer satisfaction;
• Prepare and present business metrics, lead strategic documentation for ATS area, and participate in operational reviews.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree;
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLookUps);
• Fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Experience in Program and Project management;
• Background in Transportation Operations managing complex organizations or programs;
• Proficiency in defining program requirements and using data for improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering.
