Are you looking for an opportunity to join a highly-regarded IT development firm?

Well, look no further! WebCreek is currently seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing, particularly using Python and Selenium. This is a remote position in CST working hours, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing high-performance software and ensuring its quality through meticulous testing.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the team to develop test automation solutions for various applications used on drilling rigs.
• Assist in enhancing testing processes by creating and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Conduct manual testing when automation is not yet implemented or feasible, ensuring thorough and comprehensive testing coverage.
• Work closely with software developers and quality assurance teams to identify test requirements and improve testing efficiency.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test documentation to ensure accurate and consistent testing procedures.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with stakeholders to address issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure software quality.

What You Have

• 4+ years of professional experience.
• Strong development skills : Proven ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Experience in both manual testing and test automation.
• Extensive experience in Python programming , including type hinting and use of the built-in unittest framework.
• Proven experience consulting on and implementing XPath queries or CSS selectors within complex HTML / XML documents.
• Proficient with Git workflows, branching, merging, pull requests, rebasing, and familiar with platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with Selenium or Playwright, including best practices in the Page Object Model (POM).
• Proficient in testing and interacting with RESTful APIs , with a strong understanding of CRUD operations.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, including inheritance and composition.
• Dynamic and adaptable to changing situations.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with OPC and MQTT protocols.
• Experience with microservices architecture, particularly using MQTT, ROS, and WebSocket protocols for efficient message queuing.
• Proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Rockwell Software : Proficient with RSLogix Studio 5000 for PLC and HMI systems, with familiarity in Vantage Point and RSLinx.
